Thereafter...a western Atlantic ridge will drop southward and near our region Friday and Saturday. The approximate shoreward edge of the Gulf Stream as of may 12... 40 nm south of of Dry Tortugas light...on Loggerhead Key. 11 nm south of Cosgrove Shoal light...off the Marquesas Keys. 7 nm south of Sand Key light...off Key West. 8 nm south of Looe Key...off Big Pine Key. 15 nm south of Sombrero Key light...off Marathon. 17 nm southeast of Alligator Reef light...off Islamorada. 12 nm southeast of Molasses Reef light...off Key Largo. 9 nm east of Carysfort Reef light...off Ocean Reef. Seas inside the reef around 1 foot...building to around 2 feet. Nearshore waters a light chop...becoming a moderate chop. Isolated showers developing late.
