California, Northern Sacramento Valley
Heat Advisory
Statement as of 4:01 PM PDT on August 28, 2008
Expires 12:00 PM EDT on August 29, 2008
... Heat advisory remains in effect until 9 am PDT Friday...
A heat advisory remains in effect until 9 am PDT Friday.
After the very hot conditions today... record or near record high
minimum temperatures are expected overnight. Areas around
Redding... Red Bluff... Paradise and the remainder of the lower
foothills on the east side of the valley will potentially remain
above 80 degrees.
A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and dry winds will
combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-conditioned
room... stay out of the sun... and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
